THSR Taipei Station→Bitou Cape→Nanya Rock Formations→Yinyang Sea→Jiufen Old Street→THSR Taipei Station |

13:30 Gather and depart from the THSR Taipei Station, and take the chartered vehicle to the northeast coast; Bitou Cape features cape terrain and protrudes into the ocean like a nose, hence the name Bitou (nose). Bitou Cape is extremely important in terms of maritime geography, because the sea area north of Bitou Cape belongs to the East Sea, while the south belongs to the Pacific Ocean. One may admire birds and sea fish at Bitou Cape, or simply enjoy the seaside scenery along the trail. |
Take the vehicle to admire the Yinyang Sea, which is located in the vicinity of Shuinan Cave; it became prominent due to the stark contrast formed by the brownish color of the sea water in the bay and the azure sea water offshore, making it a unique landscape in the northeast coast region. There is also a high concentration of brown iron hydroxide floating on the sea surface, this is coupled with the fact that sea water in the bay does not spread easily, in turn forming the unique scenery of Yinyang Sea. |
Take the vehicle towards Jiufen Old Street, which features architecture built in accordance with the terrain. Walking along the mountain trails, one may always spot a decent corner to admire the views and the fishing boats. At the same time, one may also appreciate the magnificent night scenery of the mountain and the sea; the specialty tea house on the stone stairs and the alfresco café are all excellent locations for viewing sceneries. |
